Our Process
Commercial work with us is highly dependent on the project and building type. For an investigation or assessment project, it generally follows this process:
Initial Visual Assessment
We do an onsite review of the building’s physical condition. We may take measurements or review the original construction drawings to identify possible sources for the issues. If there are any safety concerns, we will notify you immediately so appropriate actions can be taken to stabilize the situation.
Provide A Report
After we review the onsite findings, we provide a report that can be as simple as a short email, or a multi-page document with photos and descriptions. This report will also include any next steps to consider. Some projects include an invasive look at elements, use NDE techniques (i.e., locating rebar in concrete), or require a geotechnical investigation (e.g., determine the source of soil settlement).
Make additional recommendations
Once the condition is identified through the initial assessment, we can make repair recommendations. MCE can design a repair and provide construction documents for your selected contractor to implement.
